Originally from the Oregon Coast, I have lived in Cannon Beach, Eugene, Denmark, Boston and New York. But I have always called the Pacific NW my home.

I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University. I hold a BA in Political Science/International Studies from the University of Oregon.  I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern in the state of Oregon having passed the National Counselor Examination. In addition to private practice, I am employed part time offering crisis management, counseling and intensive case management to recent refugees & individuals with HIV.

Safety & compassionate empowerment are cornerstones of my practice. I believe my life path is to help others find or regain their joy, heal from hurt, and reconnect with self. Conscious energetic awareness and life long learning are major themes along my path to personal growth.  Mindfulness has become a key component in my life, as it is in my professional practice. In 2013, I completed a10 day silent Vipassana meditation course. I actively practice various forms of self healing and growth in my own life. My core belief is that love can truly change the world.

I have clinical training: CBT, DBT, MI, Somatic Experiencing, & Trauma Informed Services. I have clinical experience with relationships, role changes, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, dual diagnosis, addictions, HIV and refugee populations.

I have group experience in: mindfulness relapse prevention, grief, therapeutic journal writing, & mental health cultural adjustment. My credentials are also informed by my life experience. I’ve offered various human support services while working in the education, corporate and non-profit fields for the past 15 years. This included serving a wide variety of ages, cultures and ethnicities. With all these experiences I have gleaned valuable and applicable insight and wisdom which inform my practice giving me a holistic, open worldview. I’ve been told I have a warm, calm, stable presence. Hobbies: gardening, astrology, energetic healing & metaphysics.
